OSHA Electronic Injury & Illness Data Submission Deadline Extended

OSHA Electronic Injury & Illness Data Submission Deadline Extended

Scott Madar, Owner, ORCHSE Strategies, LLC

O SHA has extended the date by which employers must electronically report injury and illness data through the Injury Tracking Application (ITA) to December 15, 2017. It is important to note that the deadline to edit submitted data remains unchanged at December 31, 2017.

ORC HSE encourages all member companies to submit their data as soon as possible to avoid delays in processing. It is recommended that you review the instructions on the site and make sure your CSV file is set up properly. To test your CSV file, you should use the preview/sandbox site: preview.osha.gov/injuryreporting/ita

Remember – CSV data submissions are put into a queue and processed every three hours. You should receive two emails – the first acknowledging receipt of the CSV file and the second indicating the status of the submission – either it was processed correctly or the file was not processed correctly and the email will list the errors that were found.

For more information go to: www.osha.gov/injuryreporting/

Additionally, all ORC HSE members have access to the recorded ORC HSE webinar“OSHA Electronic Injury and Illness Data Submission Process.” Members will need to login to be able to view the webinar.
