ABOUT Glenn Murray:


G lenn Murray is an independent SH&E consultant, currently providing safety culture, leadership, and best practices consulting services to the Krause Bell Group. Glenn also provides volunteer support services to the National Safety Council (NSC), the Campbell Institute at NSC, and ORCHSE Strategies, LLC.

After serving as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and a short time with Armco Steel, Glenn joined Exxon Company USA (EUSA), Marketing Distribution in 1984 as a Terminal Supervisor in Brooklyn, NY. He progressed through a number of positions in Marketing, Distribution, the EUSA Environmental & Safety Department, Downstream & Chemical SSH&E, and Corporate SSH&E. Over his long SSH&E tenure, Glenn led or played a critical role in a number of key projects, including multiple OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System) Cycles of Improvement, OIMS integration across the Refining and Chemical companies, the implementation of OIMS in the newly merged Exxon Mobil Corporation, the development of manufacturing best practices, the ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’ initiative, the Major Incident Team study, the deployment of SSH&E Leadership, Serious Injury & Fatality prevention, and most recently the Eliminating Higher Potential Events project. Glenn was also instrumental in the formation, launch, and ongoing success of the Campbell Institute at the National Safety Council.

Glenn received his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1978 and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston.
