F rank Szopinski is a Vice President with ORC HSE. Mr. Szopinski focuses on management of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) issues from a global perspective. He is the ORCHSE primary contact for the development and management of Country Profiles and Audit Checklists.

Prior to joining ORCHSE Frank was the Manager of Compliance Assurance for the US healthcare company, Abbott headquartered in the Chicago Illinois area. He has over 25 years of professional experience in EHS Program Leadership in the pharmaceutical, food, medical products and waste industries.

Mr. Szopinski holds a Master Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences from the University of Illinois- Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from Dominican University. Frank is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

ABOUT Mei-Li Lin, PhD:

President, Asia Pacific Operation:

A s President of the Asia Pacific Operation, Mei-Li is responsible for ORC HSE’s Asia Pacific operations. She oversees all aspects of the Asia Pacific Forum and works closely with the Forum Steering Committee to identify HSE topics and content that is most relevant and valuable to the region. In addition to the Asia Pacific operations, Mei-Li also assists Ms. Woodhull in hosting the Global Health, Safety, and Environmental Forum. She supports ORC HSE members by providing expert advice on their HSE issues, building learning communities, facilitating benchmarking activities, exploring and introducing new HSE concepts and tools, conducting surveys on topics of member concern, speaking, and visits to member sites.

Mei-Li was the Senior Director of Operational Excellence Solutions at IHS, specializing in Operational Risk Management and Human and Organization Performance. In that capacity, Mei-Li led the analytics group focusing on HSE predictive analytics and served as an Operational Excellence project advisor to IHS customers, enabling them to make critical decisions using the insights gained from their business process data. Prior to joining IHS, Mei-Li was the Director for Research and Operational Excellence at DuPont Sustainable Solutions and was responsible for conducting research to support the development of content and solutions in areas related to safety and health. Mei-Li started her HSE career as the Executive Director of Research and Statistics at the National Safety Council, where she co-founded the Robert W. Campbell Award and the Campbell Institute and served as the first Executive Director for the Campbell Institute. Mei-Li was a member of the Board of Scientific Counselors for US NIOSH and served on the Initial Review Committee for CDC. She was the Editor for the Journal of Safety Research for 11 years. Before embarking on her HSE career, Mei-Li taught Biomedical Engineering at the Wright State University.

Mei-Li received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with special focus on Biomedical Engineering and Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
